The new diet is going well! I have not had any cravings, except last night. I wanted pickles. They don't have a problem with the carbs, it's the salt. I ate three pickle wedges. I was then worried that it would mess with my weigh-in today. I knew I had been doing really well and I was afraid when I got on the scale this morning, I would not see a good loss. Well, surprise, surprise!!!
I also stopped at the blood pressure machine at the grocery store yesterday to just take a quick check on my blood pressure. I have been on two meds since last year.
I went on the first med several years ago. At the time I went on it I was wearing a size 4 and walking at least 3 miles a day.
With both meds my blood pressure had been hovering around 120/80. When I checked it yesterday it was, drum roll please, 98/71.
I am hoping to get off at least one blood pressure med when I go back to the doctor. I am also planning on getting off the cholesterol medicine he put me on last year. My cholesterol wasn't that high, he just thought I should go ahead and take it as a preventative.
