I just bought a new book by Jorge Cruise named The 100. It's subtitled Count Only Sugar Calories and Lose Up To 18 Lbs. in 2 Weeks. Sounds interesting, doesn't it!
Sugar calories consist of any carbs! He says all carbs turn into sugar calories.
Throughout the book there are excerpts from an interview he conducted with Gary Taubes, who wrote Good Calories, Bad Calories, Why We Get Fat, and Bad Science.
I read Good Calories, Bad Calories a few years ago, and I really learned a lot from it. Actually, after I read it, I lost about 45 pounds and got down to my ideal weight for a while. I went without sugar and wheat for about 6 months that time. It is probably the best I had felt in a long time. So, I know that eating real foods does make a major difference. It also gets rid of belly fat!
I don't know why I ever started eating those things again. That is what I am trying to figure out. I think my brain needs to have new information that encourages me to do what I already know is the correct way to eat. It just needs to be reprogrammed on a regular basis. After I read the book I was disgusted by processed foods for a while. What changed? I don't know.
I am hoping that reading this new book will give me the incentive to get going again and keep going this time.
